The signed-in dashboard and admin areas include a top banner for the tools you use across pages: Search, Quick Actions, and Help.
Search from anywhere
Click Search in the top banner, press /, or press Ctrl/Command + K. Search finds pages and common actions first, then shows records you are allowed to access — such as volunteers, applications, background checks, users, or organizations depending on your role.
Start common actions
Use the Quick Actions button (+) to invite a volunteer, run a check, log hours, send a waiver, or buy credits. These actions used to live in a floating button; they now live in the banner so they are easier to find and do not cover page content.
Get help
The Help button opens documentation, Academy courses, product updates, support contact options, and system status.
Notifications bell
The bell in the top banner shows in-app alerts (new applications, check completions, volunteer messages when enabled, and more). New items appear live while you work; dismissals stay in sync across open tabs. You can mute volunteer-message bell alerts from the bottom of the bell menu (owners/admins).
Ask Victor
The VolunteerBadge AI assistant, Victor, opens from the pulsing shield button in the lower-right corner of the dashboard. You can also open the full assistant page from Dashboard → AI Assistant.
