A family is the unit for service hours and registration. Adults in the family are volunteers and are screened one by one. A child is a first name and an age band. School tools do not store a date of birth, a grade, or a student ID.
Add families
- Add a family asks for one adult. Mark One guardian when a service rule should be halved.
- Import my spreadsheet accepts the Family Roster columns from the free co-op workbook. Paste the header row with the families. The Students tab is refused.
An adult belongs to one active family. Ending a family keeps the history and removes them from the active list. Screening still happens on the volunteer, from ordering a check.
When School tools are on, that volunteer's record shows Household and the family name. The chip opens that family. It does not run a check.
A missed block is listed on that family's page and on the Service list. The note says VolunteerBadge does not charge for it.
A family page lists that family's adults, children, service balance, and school assignments. Another family's adults are not on it.
Invite adults to screen sends an application to adults who are not cleared yet. You can invite one family or every family on the list. Sending the application does not run a check. Each adult still gives their own consent.
A family link shows one family its balance, lets a parent log hours that wait for approval, and lists who is free to substitute. The link is shown once. Turning it off stops it immediately. It also stops after the service term end date.
Each adult can be marked as able to cover baby and nursery blocks. That mark is the co-op's. It is not a certification, and it does not clear anyone. A duty marked for babies only offers adults who have that mark.
