Beyond screening, VolunteerBadge lets your nonprofit collect donations — one-time gifts and recurring monthly “Champions Club” tiers (e.g. sponsor a child) — with a shareable donation page, QR code, and automatic donor receipts. The money goes straight to your nonprofit

Donations are processed by Stripe and charged on your own Stripe account — your organization is the merchant of record, so receipts come from you and it's clean for tax purposes — then paid out to your bank. VolunteerBadge never holds your funds. We add a small platform fee per gift to keep the feature running, and donors can optionally cover the fees so 100% of their gift reaches you.

Setting it up

Open Donations and click Connect payouts. First you complete a free, one-time identity verification (the same government-ID + selfie check used for background checks) — because real funds are involved, we verify the admin behind the account. If you've already verified for screening, you're set.
Finish the short Stripe onboarding (your business details + a bank account for payouts).
Add your donation tiers — monthly Champions Club levels and one-time options, each with a name, amount, and a note about what the gift supports. We give you starter tiers you can edit.
Write your donation page copy (headline, your story, and where the money goes), then toggle Donations live.
Make sure your public profile is claimed — your donation page lives there, and that's the link and QR code you share.

What donors experience

Donors open your public profile, choose a tier (or enter a custom amount), and check out securely with a card or bank transfer. Monthly donors are billed automatically each month and can be managed anytime. Every donor gets an emailed receipt from your organization the moment their gift goes through.

Just launching

Donations are rolling out — if your Donations page shows “Coming soon,” the feature will unlock for your account shortly. Everything else in VolunteerBadge works as normal in the meantime.
