Getting started

Hide the Hours & grants section

Not tracking service hours or corporate grants? Turn off the Hours & grants section on volunteer profiles.

Settings → Organization → Volunteer profile — toggle off “Show Hours & grants on volunteer profiles.” · click to enlarge

Every volunteer profile includes a Hours & grants section — verified service hours, an employer field for corporate Dollars for Doersmatching, and a self-log link. If your organization doesn't track volunteer hours or chase corporate grants, you can hide it from every volunteer profile to keep things tidy.

Turn it off · ~30 seconds

  1. Go to Settings → Organization.
  2. Scroll to the Volunteer profile section.
  3. Turn off “Volunteer hours tracking.” (this also hides the “Log hours” button volunteers see in their portal.)
  4. Click Save organization.

The section immediately disappears from every volunteer's profile. To bring it back, return to the same spot and turn the toggle back on — it's on by default.

Good to know

Hiding the section doesn't delete anything — any hours already logged are kept and reappear if you turn it back on. This is an organization-wide setting (it applies to all volunteers), and only owners and admins who can manage organization settings can change it.
